Cecilia Farías is a professional graphic designer and illustrator based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
She graduated from Fundación Gutenberg and obtained a degree in Visual Communication from Universidad Nacional de Rosario.
Over time, she has explored different expressive media such as painting, drawing and embroidery, but her main medium is paper collage. Her work is always going in between digital and analog techniques.
She finds inspiration in the shapes, repetitive patterns and colors of the street, but also in nature and flowers. Her illustrations are a combination of images with bold colors, sharp shapes and minimal compositions.

Primor is a bookbinding store from Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is run by Lucila Castellanos, who commissioned me to illustrate and design a postcard set for the release of Primor’s 2023 diary.
Every year there is a new theme for this release that is inspired by nature, the native fauna and flora. This year’s theme was native birds. This postcard set portraits the Cóndor andino, the Tingazú, the Carpintero copete pajizo and the Flamenco austral.
Amare La Stampa has commissioned me to design a new pattern to expand its collection of exclusive designs.
This pattern features various floral motifs with a lot of details inspired by nature. The final result is a very versatile print for different uses in home decor.

Finca Suarez is a family wine brand located in Paraje Altamira, in the south of Valle de Uco, Mendoza. The wines, made exclusively with grapes from their vineyards, are produced in a sustainable and traditional way.
I was commissioned to design and illustrate the new labels for this family of wines. The labels feature a series of landscapes, inspired by the hues of the mountains at sunrise and sunset in Paraje Altamira. Every design was made with the papercut technique and then printed.

Yeti creates furniture, textiles, and accessories for children and has requested me to design a limited-edition paper mobile.
The brand's character, also called Yeti, lives in the forest, so we envisioned a paper mobile with some forest elements such as flowers, pinecones, mushrooms, leaves, and a lake. The mobile has two color combinations and has been designed with a handmade touch along with a custom paper case.
Minichay is a book of verses in Quechua, written by Josefina Navarro, which explores the traditional Andean art of weaving through language. This project has been developed during the Professional Illustration Postgraduate Program at FADU, University of Buenos Aires.
The illustrations in the book were created manually, using powdered pastel pigments that were applied by hand using stencils.
This project aims to raise awareness and appreciation for the Quechua language, which is an essential part of Andean culture and it will be soon be published by Amauta Yaguar.

Amare La Stampa is a boutique store located in Buenos Aires that specializes in selling and creating fabrics for home decor. To expand their prints catalog, I designed a floral pattern inspired by magnolia flowers.
This print has become a popular choice among various entrepreneurs in the decoration industry due to its versartility and color combinations.
